I've played the Ancients FOG rules, are the Naps similar in principle?

From what I can gather, they are completely different. Several club members are playing them and the reports are good. I was in discussion with some other players at the Devizes show and they rate them highly.

Though my ships may rest at anchor, the big guns never sleep.
