Vickers Dragon and 60 pounder towed - I am working up to one of these - but mine will have the pneumatic tyres!

Inspiration for someone I am sure - enjoy - atb Tim

Sir J. GILMOUR I am aware that the man assaulted in this case appeared in court wearing the uniform worn by members of the British Union of Fascists.

Mr. THORNE May I ask the Home Secretary when he thinks the Government expect to come to a decision about this all-important question so as to prevent these fellows walking about in uniform and carrying india-rubber truncheons and things of that kind?

Lieut.-Colonel ACLAND-TROYTE Would it not be more amusing to make everybody wear coloured shirts according to their political views?

That the Vulcan looks like a fairly standard 6x4 lorry with the addition of tracks which fit over the wheels of the driven rear axles. The Russians did something similar with their BA10 and ZIS 6x4.

I must admit I would kill for a pre/early war British cab-over 6x4 like this in 1/56.....

Also, I would not wish to be in that hatches open Mk VI - that is a very sharp stop its coming to!

I say do you know the Bishop of Winchester? No? A very fine chap but he doesn't pass the port...

Nice photos Tim.

The Vickers Dragon towing the 60pdr is a MkIV based on the Vickers 6 Tonner.

The Vickers MkVI AA is post Dunkirk but VBCW has plenty of latitude

If you don't mind I'll add a few more, possibly from the same source.

Don't know that I'd want to be aboard that mind.

I'll post some more as long as Tim doesn't mind, lots more where they came from.

Dave - think yours have come from IWM Collection - I have a load of them as well - the ones I posted are from some postcards that came along recently so different source for sure - the aa version is titled up Palestine 1938 but may well be wrong - it happens a lot even with original stuff.

IIRC a lot of the Vickers Mk VI were converted into the AA version and used at battlegroup HQ and upwards as mobile HQ once the Mk VI proved insufficient for use as a light tank. I believe that in this format it was quite common throughout the North African campaign. I'll try to dig up the info, can't remember where I read about it.

Thats right about the MkVI AA.

I've got plans to do a similar scratchbuild on a Carden-Loyd MkVI body. I've done one on a Crossley armoured car.

Tim, the reason I thought it might be the same source is because I recognise the picture of the Dragon towing the 60lbr from there.

They had plenty of other pictures of Dragons of various types as well.

I'm on my phone just now but will try to post some of them later.

Is it just me, or does this tankette REALLY look like a dog? I'm sure it just needs a couple of hatches on the turret as "ears" and I'd be throwing sticks for it.

I just love these crazy interwar experimental designs - a big part of VBCW's appeal to me. Keep 'em coming.

I reckon that the photo of it actually floating is a complete representation of a labrador swimming for a stick! You are not alone old boy

And a Morris artillery tractor.

And a couple of experimentall half tracks.

For all that artillery you're towing you'll need a battery staff car from Crossley.

More to come, softskins and armour.
